JAMES WANTS TO STAY AT UNITED AND EARN HIS SPOT AMID RUMORS
Manchester United’s Welsh winger has declared that he feels good at the club, pouring cold water on rumors linking him with a move away from Old Trafford. The young Welshman has seen opportunities hard to come by under manager Olé Gunnar Solskjær this term, coming in and going out of the team in the process.
He has however reiterated his desire to remain at the club despite the current situation he has found himself in. He insists he wants to stay and fight for his place in the team, outlining that it is normal for a club to have multiple players in the same position for squad balance.
He was signed for a figure of £15 million from Swansea in the summer of 2019 and hit the ground running in his first few games. The pacy winger tormented defenders in his first few appearances, netting three goals in his first four Premier League games. With his ability and lightning speed, he looked to be a top signing, and one for the future, especially with his direct style of play.
However, the 23-year-old had his fire quenched a few games later, as he endured a 32-game scoreless run. The development raised questions amongst fans as to why Solskjær kept playing him since he wasn’t making any tangible impact on the team.

James’ first full season at United was considered to be a success to an extent, but his lack of ability to replicate or even better his first-season form has become a topic of huge concern.
United completed summer deals for Donny Van de Been from Ajax and EdinsonCavani who was a free agent, further dampening James’ hopes of returning to the first team XI.
